Eight Must Do New England Attractions with Kids or Friends for Summer or Fall.

We all love those weekend day trips, and there is no better time than August when the Summer seems long and the Fall when we want to get everything we can out of the cool perfect weather.

With that in mind and in no particular order, here are our eight picks for New England Day trips.

Edaville USA: Carver, Massachusetts
Since I have been visiting since I was 2 years old, I may be a little biased or nostalgic, but the additions of Dinoland, Thomas the Tank Engine Land as well as their December Festival of Lights and Dickens Village make this a year round must visit destination.

Museum of Science: Boston, Massachusetts
So many exhibits, Astronomy After hours from their roof top, and so much more, you really can get lost in the building.

Ecotarium: Worcester. Massachusetts
Fun and science, a little bit more hands on than the Museum of Science in Boston. They rotate their features a little more frequently than Boston which allows for more visits.

Canobie Lake Park: Salem, New Hampshire
With impressive build outs over the past 20 year, and expansion into October with Screeemfest where they bring in and build out seven haunted house walk through, it is no wonder Canobie Lake is a must visit attraction for everyone, People new to New England are always pleasantly surprised with the level of cleanliness and quality of this family run theme park.

Tower Hill Botanical Gardens: Boylston, Massachusetts
With a hiking trail, two impressive green houses and gardens all around the complex, this is a must visit destination, even if only to have lunch on the patio at Twigs Cafe overlooking Mount Wachusette.

Davis Farmland: Sterling. Massachusetts
Animal Sanctuary Petting Zoo, 200 seat bbq restaurant, and children’s water park, if you want to get the kids exhausted and guarantee they are asleep before the car ride home, this is your must visit destination.

Roger William’s Park Zoo: Providence, R.I.
So much more than just a Zoo. Check their schedule for interactive talks, service dog train sessions and a Pumpkin Carving and display attraction that will take you over an hour to walk through.

Santa’s Village: Jefferson, NH
I mean, Santa Clause and Christmas year round. What is not to like?
