Usually the end of a meal.  Sometimes the sweetest bite to end your evening. But for us, it’s usually the best thing we’ve eaten all day!

We love a great dessert and are constantly searching for the next big thing (literally what’s better than a huge slice of cake or a cookie the size of your head?!).

So what qualifies as a dessert?! Anything sweet, ooey-gooey, and leaves you wanting more. Here are our favorite DESSERT-TYPE places:

1) In a Pickle: Get their extreme pancakes, which are revealed every Tuesday and run Wednesday-Monday. Our favorites have been the Extreme Animal Frosted Cakes (which I came up with the idea for!), Extreme Dunka-Teddy Roo Cakes (think dunkaroos), Extreme Oreos cakes, and Nutella S’mores French Toast Tower. Yup, we’re drooling too.

2) Bova Bakery: A North End Gem! We love how much variety there is here. They keep the classics classic and have some really fun treats like Cookie Monster Whoopie pies. So much to choose from that you just want to keep going back.

3) PVDonuts: definitely top 3 donut spots out there. We love this place so much and have made the drive from Boston to Providence just for these. Every month they release their flavors on their Instagram and Facebook pages and it almost feels like Christmas. Their donuts are fun, delicious, and HUGE! You can also order custom donuts for parties! We ordered unicorn donuts for my sister’s birthday and they were amazing!

4) Yum Bunnies Cakery: Yes! They competed on Cupcake Wars! And let me tell you, their stuff is also insanely delicious. Love their cake jars (which they have a bunch of flavors of now!) and their custom cakes are artistic genius.

5) Tradesman: I think this place is going to become very popular very quickly. Love the atmosphere but definitely will keep going back for the stuffed croissants. They’re huge and stuffed with delicious fillings. The ones I’ve had are red velvet, Boston cream, and fruity pebbles, and each was better than the last!

6) Wholly Cannoli: A hidden gem in Worcester, Massachusetts. They have delicious dynamite sticks (you need to get at least 5 when you go because you’ll crave them!) and their cannoli are amazing.

7) Cookie Time Bakery: Located in Arlington, MA, this shop has been around for years. Homemade, delicious cookies including sandwich cookies, seasonal ones for the holidays, and macaroons. Some of the best cookies we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a lot!). It’s a must try.
