Jack O Lantern Journey – Franklin Park Zoo
By David Sullivan, Taste of Massachusetts Contributor
Since so many of us work in Boston, it is nice to plan a Friday evening where you can meet your spouse and child for an activity in the city That is exactly what we did at Jack O Lantern Journey at the Franklin Park Zoo.
The park was filled with impressively carved pumpkins, both in reliefs and hallowed out. They also did, what i like to call “Pumpkin Snowmen” where they carved on several pumpkins put together.
One of the most impressive things was the way they were displayed. The theme was animal focused, but there were plenty of popular culture figures represented, including Jack O’ Lantern scarecrows and live action princesses. They even represented Day of the Dead artwork for November 1st.
This is definitely on our calendar to return for next year.
