In North Square, located in Boston’s North End across from Paul Revere’s house, sits Mamma Maria Ristorante. This beautiful restaurant is in a converted 19th Century Row House, with five beautiful dining rooms, and is executing fabulous Italian-inspired cuisine.
My entre and personal favorite item was the Lobster Agnolotti Pasta filled with fresh Maine lobster. These three tri colored pastas were huge, absolutely made with fresh pasta, and stuffed with sweet lobster.
The stuffed Duxbury, MA Oysters baked with prosecco zabaglione were delicious and we wish we knew how large they were before ordering, make sure to save room accordingly because the prosecco zabaglione is delicious. Polpetti, Chickering Farm, Westmoreland, NH pork and veal meatballs, baked on a skewer, with mint yogurt, sage pesto, and roasted tomatoesBeef Tenderloin, Grilled Black Angus beef tenderloin with Hudson Valley foie gras, roasted sweet bell peppers and baked fusilli pasta carbonara,The mozzarella and roasted tomato’s were something straight out of a Tuscan kitchen.
We finished with desserts of Tiramisu and Tea Cup Cannoli, but wanted to try so many more.
