Just announced, Navy Yard Hospitality Group is expanding its offerings to a first of its kind experience at the Charlestown Navy Yard. No news yet as to if the ship will be stationed or mobile, but the views of Boston and the Harbor are sure to impress.
In a statement from the Navy Yard Hospitality Group:
“It’s an exciting time for us at the Navy Yard Hospitality Group in regards to our growth. These types of projects are in our DNA. Be it our Mija brand in Faneuil Hall expanding to Logan Airport, being the original anchor waterfront property in Charlestown with Pier 6, the activation of the East Boston waterfront with our ReelHouse brand and offering free water shuttle service across the harbor; we’ve always been committed to enhancing the neighborhoods in which we work and do business.
Now with the second location of ReelHouse slated to launch in Marina Bay in Quincy, MA this summer, we’ll be activating that waterfront as well and again offering free shuttle service from other neighborhoods, essentially bringing the city closer together.
In addition to these projects, we’re also working on the launch of a food and beverage concept via the conversion of a historical tall-ship in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Although there are several steps left in the process, we believe it will be one of the most dynamic waterfront activations on the east coast, if not beyond. With all of these projects we continue to be mindful of our rich history and maritime tradition. Working with Mayor Walsh, the Boston Planning & Development Agency, the Charlestown Navy Yard Associations, Philip Sima from Balance Architects and everyone associated with the Imagine Boston 2030 initiative is truly an honor,” Charlie Larner, President of NYHG
