When and why did you started blogging under your current handle:
I started blogging under my current handle shortly after I returned from studying abroad in Italy. I knew I had hundreds of food pictures and wanted a place where I could showcase them. When I was abroad I took a 12-week cooking course, so I also came back with quite a bit of knowledge of regional and traditional cuisines that has helped me along the way.
In terms of the name choice, I grew up in an Italian-American household, but when I was abroad, I realized I stood out as much more American than Italian. After that, I decided to become The Italian Impasta, which is just a punny way of saying Italian Imposter. So far, it has been a great way to expand my knowledge of Italian food and culture, and I hope I can continue learning more and more in the future
