The Colonel Blackinton Inn in Attleboro, Massachusetts is one of those great places hidden in plain sight. I literally went by happenstance because a meeting in the area got canceled and I remembered it from a conversation with a friend who had mentioned their Christmas lights.
Our Inn features 9 guest rooms, the historic colonial charm is felt throughout the decor of the rooms – with some featuring hand painted murals. All rooms are on the second and third floors and the Inn does not have an elevator and requires the use of stairs.
Two weeks before Valentines Day and it was total luck. I only had lunch, but the walnut maple glazed salmon, lobster stuffed mushrooms and carrot cake were perfect. They had an impressive list of whiskey as well. Such a great place, more people should be talking about.
